Hello! My name is Elizabeth Schafer, and I'm running for Town Meeting in Precinct 17. I strongly support progressive policies that make Brookline a better place for all members of our community, and I hope you'll vote for me on Tuesday, May 2nd.

Priorities

3 fists in the air with different skin tones.

Centering racial/disability equity and justice during Town Meeting's decision-making process

The earth with a leaf and hot thermometer next to it.

Taking bold action to tackle the impending climate crisis - we should be leaders in this space

An adult riding a bike with a child in an attached seat.

Upgrading walking and cycling infrastructure to eliminate crashes and promote car-free living

Two speech bubbles overlapping with a lightbulb at the intersection, representing conversation and ideas.

Reimagining public safety by creating new social services which would better fulfill our community's needs

Endorsements

Brookline Equity Coalition

"Coalition of community members committed to electing progressives in Brookline — and taking real action for racial, climate, and economic justice."

Brookline for Everyone

"Est. 2019 to push for housing & zoning regulations to create a Brookline that's economically diverse, inclusive, & environmentally sound."

Read my endorsement questionnaire responses

Note: I did not seek endorsements from Brookline PAX or Brookline by Design because I don't think my values align enough with their leadership. I still filled out Brookline PAX's endorsement questionnaire last year for anyone interested in those responses, and my Brookline for Everyone endorsement questionnaire covers similar housing topics as Brookline by Design.
